The fantastic visuals and animation might be enough to satisfy some gamers, especially if you like lots of options and are a creative type person. Auto Modellista should meet most gamers’ standards. Game designers use the same animation used in the Matrix car commercials to paint a wonderful cel shaded environment.

The game also delivers with customizable options, such as garages and videos where you can direct and edit your racing replays. You even get muffler & brake choices among the 69 different cars. You also have the option to fit the display on a widescreen TV. There’s also some decent music and an announcer who would seem more appropriately placed in a NASCAR game, but adds a little realism and excitement to the gameplay.

Now for the mildly challenging controls. The handling is good overall (sometimes it’s hard to recover from slides and don’t use the emergency brake) and driving conditions just as realistic as comparable driving games. It’s the sleek cartoonish animation that pushes this game to a very satisfying level. The enormous options, on-line play and “garage life” career mode give this quality game a very high replay value.
